Google Maps not working for you!

A lot of websites use Google for Maps on their contact pages

Google maps is a very handy tool for displaying your location or locations, directions on how to get to you, contact details, etc. If you are using a standard widget by Google, then from July 2018 you may find that Google Maps will stop working on your website.

More specifically, to display Google Maps you need to get a Google Maps API key. This is more or less a token, which will connect your widget and the Google Maps API, so that the Maps appear on your website. The process of getting the key isn’t too time consuming, it will take around 15 minutes and you will need your billing information to start an account, in case you don’t have one.

ALTERNATIVELY, go for the free option. If you register your business with ‘Google My Business’ your listing appears right when people are searching for your business: Example. When you register your business with Google, your business name will appear on Google Maps: https://www.printing.ie/contact/ (scroll to the bottom of the page and view the Map) and your contact details appear on the top left of the Map with the directions button ‘very handy’.
